For over 20 years, our team has worked in juvenile detention facilities, public schools, recreation centers, and community organizations across the Mid-Atlantic — not just teaching, but living alongside young people through their most critical years.
We deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed programming that meets youth where they are. Whether in person at your facility or virtually via Zoom, we bring the energy, expertise, and genuine investment that changes lives.

Skilled Trades as a Dignified Path
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and construction are in-demand, well-paying career paths. We introduce youth to these opportunities with equal enthusiasm and respect, because a great life can be built with skilled hands.
Social-Emotional Intelligence
Before resumes and interviews, young people must know themselves. We invest deeply in social-emotional learning — helping youth name their feelings, manage conflict, build empathy, and lead with integrity.
Trauma-Informed Practice
We see the whole child. Our facilitators are trained to recognize and respond to trauma with patience, dignity, and evidence-based approaches that create safety before demanding growth.

Andrew J. James Jr. is a Philadelphia native who has dedicated his life to ensuring today's youth are equipped with the tools, guidance, and exposure they need to build promising futures.
His journey began in high school, where his documentary "I Can End Violence" sparked a lifelong commitment to youth empowerment and community change. That early sense of calling has never wavered — it has only grown deeper and more purposeful with each young person he has served.
As founder of 10X Better Youth Development & Mentoring, Andrew mentors dozens of young people each year, helping them discover their potential and chart new pathways to success. His passion for service has led to impactful partnerships with schools, city and county governments, community organizations, and national nonprofits — all with one essential focus: creating opportunities that keep youth safe, inspired, and prepared to thrive.
Andrew's mission is simple: to be a ladder and help build ladders, so every young person can reach what's within sight but often out of reach.
